Quilting Exhibition at the Hawthorn Town Hall

Today was the first day of the wonderful quilting exhibition organised by the Hawthorn Rotary and held at the Hawthorn Town Hall.
A really gorgeous venue, absolutely stunning quilts and the friendliest group of people you could ever meet.
Come along if you can, it is a really first class exhibition, I can't believe it is their first one! And of course it is an excellent alternative to the Grand Finals fever, guaranteed to inspire you to pick up a needle and start stitching.

Ivanhoe Makers Market Confirmed!

Fantastic, I have had confirmation that I have been accepted for the Ivanhoe Makers Market. A lovely market of totally hand produced goods which runs on the 3rd Saturday of the month (details at the 'meet me at.' section). I am really looking forward to being a part of this gorgeous group and I encourage you to come along and see the wealth of locally produced art and craft on display and for sale.

Market Time!

I had an oppourtunity this week to check out a fantastic market at Ivanhoe. It is called the Makers Market and runs on the third saturday of the month at the Banyula Arts Space at 14 Ivanhoe Parade , Ivanhoe. It has all locally produced and hand-made arts and crafts, and I have just submitted my application to hold a stall there today, so I hope to see you there soon.

wow, I had confirmation this week that Ruby Rose Designs will be profiled in Creative Embroidery and Cross Stitch magazine,vol 17 no 10, on the stands 16th of July. One of my gorgeous flowers will be a featured project in that issue too, so that is very exciting!
